Privacy Policy

Trades On Top ("we," "us") is a New York City–based service that manages Google Business Profiles for home service contractors. This policy explains what information we collect through tradesontop.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we don't do anything surprising with your data.
What We Collect
- Contact form: your name, email, and optionally phone number, company name, trade, borough, and message.
- Free GBP audit tool: the business name and city you look up, and — if you choose to unlock the full report — your name and email, along with the audit score generated for the business.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we receive only your name, email, and payment status.
- Technical basics: our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request logs to serve and secure the site, as any host does.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general location, how you found us). It sets cookies and shares usage data with Google; see Google's privacy policy. We do not run advertising trackers.
How We Use It
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the services you've asked for.
- To email you your audit results and, occasionally, relevant follow-ups about our service. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that works.
- To bill you and maintain records if you become a client.
We never sell your information. We don't share it with anyone except the service providers below, who process it on our behalf.
Service Providers We Use
- Cloudflare — website and infrastructure hosting.
- Brevo — email delivery and our contact list.
- Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe's privacy policy).
- Google (Places API) — the audit tool retrieves publicly available business-profile data from Google to generate your report.
How Long We Keep It
Contact and lead information is kept until you ask us to delete it or it's clearly no longer needed. Client billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your Rights
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@tradesontop.com and we'll take care of it within a few business days. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails with one click at any time.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, for active clients, mention it by email. The current version always lives at tradesontop.com/privacy.
